Elton Lawrence Hedges Jr. "Big Al", age 72 passed peacefully on September 13 ^th , 2023 at home in Port Orange, Florida surrounded by family.

Al is survived by his wife, Paula Hedges, of 36 years; his mother, Helen Hedges; his four brothers, Michael, Bradford, Ronald and Kenneth Hedges; his children, Todd Hedges, Lindsay Brannan and husband David, and Jessica Booth; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Elton Hedges Sr.

Al was born on February 28 ^th , 1951 in Montpelier, Vermont. He graduated from Agawam High School in Agawam, Massachusetts. Al built an automotive business in Agawam, Massachusetts called Eagle Automotive before moving to Florida in 1992 and built Eagle Automotive Mobile Lube Express as a local master mechanic for 30 plus years.

Al was a great family man and loving father. He married Paula in 1987 and spent 40 years raising yours, mine and our children together. Al was an avid spectator of local motorsports with a passion for vintage automobiles. His family and friends will always remember him as a dependable and thoughtful man who cared for his family and friends deeply.

Family, friends, and acquaintances are invited to reminisce, grieve and support one another starting at 5:30 pm on Friday September 22 ^nd , 2023 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Home with services to follow at 6:30 pm, officiated by Chaplain Mary Dowd.
