Darnell “Mack” McCoy passed away suddenly on the morning of October 22, 2026. A beloved son, brother, uncle, and devoted friend, Mack left an indelible mark on everyone he met through his warm spirit, vibrant individuality, and boundless generosity.

Born in Laurel, Mississippi, Mack carried his southern roots with pride. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in Hattiesburg and later lived in Kansas City, MO, Georgia, and Florida, effortlessly building a vast network of cherished friends and chosen family wherever he went.

Driven by an entrepreneurial and independent spirit, Mack founded his successful mobile car wash and detailing business, fittingly named LIKE NO OTHER DETAILING LLC. There truly was “like no other” person on this earth, and his unique light shined brightly. He later expanded his business to Orlando, Florida, earning a loyal clientele that included numerous well-known and famous individuals drawn to his exceptional craftsmanship.

Beyond his professional success, Mack possessed a rare gift: anyone he met instantly became his best friend. He was joyous, caring, and deeply loving, with a radiant smile that could pull anyone into his world. He embraced life fully, whether he was out fishing, curating his impressive Nike shoe collection, enjoying a fine cigar, or passionately cheering on his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. Above all, he loved having fun, laughing with his friends, and cherishing every moment. He held a special place in his heart for his mother, whom he fondly called “El.”

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Elmyra “El” Allen; his sister, Tonie Milsap; his brothers, Kim McCoy, Sean Allen, and Achilles Allen; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Mack was preceded in death by his father, Calvin McCoy; his stepfather, Donald Allen; his grandmother, Myra Seals; and his grandfather, Jessie Seals.
