Obituary

Ethel Lee (Holsomback) Linville November 02, 1938 – May 06, 2025 Ethel Lee Linville, 86, of Port Orange, FL, passed away peacefully in her home on May 06, 2025. Born on November 2, 1938, in Somerset, Kentucky, she was the only child of Arthur and Lora Holsomback. Lee graduated from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, KY, and went on to live a life full of faith, love, and devotion to her family. Lee married the love of her life, James Howard Linville (Jim), on May 5, 1962, and together they spent 58 years of marriage until Jim's passing in 2021. In 1968, they moved to Port Orange, FL, where Lee would become a cherished member of the community. She worked as a medical technologist for several local doctors in their laboratories. A woman of deep faith, Lee found strength and comfort in her strong relationship with Jesus Christ. Her life was marked by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering love for her family, which included her two daughters, Lora Trageser (Tom) and Sherry Daughton; four grandchildren, Ross Trageser (Kristine), Morgan Romanisko (Ian), Kylee Daughton, and Callan Daughton; and one great-grandchild, Trevor Trageser, who brought her immense joy at the time of her passing. Lee was also known for her love of animals, which included her beloved Corgi, Tootsie. She turned her one acre home near Spruce Creek into a little farm with a donkey, miniature horse and her foal, goat, horse, two Dalmatians, two cats, chickens, quails hatched in an incubator and even two raccoons she rescued from a tree. Her animals were a reflection of her nurturing spirit and deep affection for all living things. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Jim, and surrounded by the love of her Savior. In keeping with Lee's wishes, a private graveside service will be held for immediate family at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, FL. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Jim.
