Eugene Lawrence Burton of Orange City, Florida passed away on August 12, 2013. Gene was born on September 24, 1929 in Terre Haute, Indiana to David and Bernice Burton. He graduated from Gerstmeyer High School in 1947. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy for 23 years before retiring in Orlando, Florida. After retirement, Gene worked for Velda Farms and World Tire in Orlando. He then worked for A.O.K. Tires in Apopka. His wife Martha and his son David (Beth) preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister Patricia Hall (Jack) of Terre Haute, Indiana; his children Deborah Kane (Michael) of Windermere, Karen D'Angelo of Sanford and Chris Burton (Kerry) of Deltona; grandchildren Lamar, Emily, Nicholas, Amanda, Joshua, Levi, Chelsea and Christopher; and great-grandchildren Zander, Alexis, Alex, Tyler, Deziree, Jacob, Cadence, Tim and Sean. Interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
