Eugene Lorenzo Siler Watkins born July 28, 1929, in Chicago and died 11/5/2021 in Lehigh, Florida.

Eugene served his country in the Army and earned the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm; Good Conduct Medal (6 ^th Ward); Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon -1. Upon completion of his military service, he continued to serve his community by volunteering with Veterans organizations and community outreach program.

Eugene was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Dorothy Watkins of Alabama, and his lovely wife Alice Electia Watkins. Eugene leaves behind 8 children: Jacquelyn Jarmann of Newburgh, Steven Watkins of Maryland, Alexa Watkins of Florida, James Watkins of Newburgh, Cassandra Watkins of Cornwall. His children Eugene Watkins Jr, Andrew James Watkins and Rodney Watkins reside in Alabama.

A memorial service will be held on December 6 ^th , 2021, at 1PM at the Hampton Inn, 1 Cross Roads Court Rt 17K, Newburgh, NY 12550
