EVA MARY BREWSTER Passed peacefully on October 28, 2022 (Port Orange).

Eva was born to Earl and Luella Tyler on August 5, 1925, in Manchester, CT.   She grew up on a dairy farm during the depression, in historical Lebanon, CT graduating from Lyman Memorial high school.  Eva from the age of 3-years old knew that Jesus was with her then and throughout her 97-years. She never doubted this to the very end. Eva and her late husband Charles E Brewster were married for 57 years. In their marriage they made it a point to stay in contact with all their family members through the years, plus wherever they lived in Connecticut, California, Missouri or Florida, they always made new friends while keeping in touch with old friends. They traveled the world together and could carry on conversations with people wherever they were. Eva continued this tradition after Charles passed in 2003. Eva was a wonderful singer and loved being in choirs wherever she lived. She also sang with the Sweet Adeline's.  She started singing solos and duets at a very young age at the Lebanon, CT Baptist Church and sang in church choirs everywhere she lived. Most recently at the Port Orange United Church of Christ where she had many, many friends.  She was a Greeter at the Port Orange YMCA. She loved watching Lawrence Welk. Eva never met a person she visibly did not like. She also found it very difficult to speak ill of anyone. Her work life included everything from being an "Avon Lady" to being a top Executive Secretary at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft now Boeing. She was an active California licensed Realtor and loved helping people. Eva was always very aware of all the people around her and strived to be independent and not a burden to others. She was very humble and felt that she should be doing something to help others rather than asking help for herself. Even when severe osteoporosis took control of her body and forced her to be stooped over when standing, she always wanted to be as independent as possible. She loved going on cruises with her family and friends. She loved birthday parties, picnics and just driving around to see what was new or happening. Eva's faith in living a Christian Life was unshakable. Her spiritual awareness that this life was not the end and that the best was waiting for her never wavered. Even in her last hours she was still singing "Jesus Loves Me". Predeceased by her husband Charles, brother Frank Tyler, and sister Alice Ward. She is survived by her children – Robert Brewster (Ruth), Stewart Brewster (Donna), and Joyce Scarlatelli (Nick); grandchildren Kimberly (Mike), Susie, Forrest, Charles (Apryl), Stephen, Zane (JulieAnn), and Troy; great-grandsons  Blake, Haydn and Emerson. A celebration of life will take place in the Spring of 2023 at the New Lebanon Cemetery Lebanon, CT.
