Evelyn Bennett, 87, of Orlando, Florida died on May 18, 2024. She was sleeping peacefully with her children at her bedside when she passed away. Evelyn was born on November 16, 1936 to Lee and Maggie Taylor in Tampa, Florida. She married her husband, Doyle, in 1957. They had been married 65 years at the time of his death in 2022.

Evelyn was Mom to Bruce (Jan) and Terry Maroon (Larry). She has 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren who refer to her as Nana or Grandma. She was one of five siblings.

Mom worked for Kuykendall Insurance Agency from which she retired. She used to love going to basketball games GO MAGIC! and always had a pass to Sea World where she and a friend would visit often. She loved the mountains, flowers, reading, walking and traveling.

She was a Christian and very active in her church serving on committees, helping with Vacation Bible School, taking on administrative duties, helping with the Pumpkin Patch every October and much more.

Mom was the sweetest and kindest lady you could ever meet. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be missed deeply. Many good memories of Mom will forever be held in our hearts.
