Evelyn Dolores Milam age 86, of Lake Mary, FL peacefully passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born December 31, 1938, in Tennille, Alabama to Murphy Downing Maulden and Dain Maulden. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emery "Ed" Milam; her first husband, Anthony Edward Thornton; her sons, Mark and Brian Thornton who always held a special place in her heart. She is also proceeded in death by her siblings, Pauline Hasty , Carol Gavin, Margaret Lewis, Frances Evans, and Wayne Maulden.

Evelyn worked for over 20 years as an administrative assistant at the Orange County Property Appraisal Office. She was known for her professionalism and kindness. She made lasting impressions on colleagues and the community alike.

Mrs. Milam is survived by her daughter, Erin Thornton Simard & her husband, David; brother, Daniel "Fox" Maulden, sisters, Joann Reeves and Jesse Lewis; grandchildren, Caleb and Kara Simard, Briana Thornton Erb & her husband, Logan, Tristan Dain Thornton; great grandchildren, Imanie and Alara Erb.
