Mrs. Evelyn R (Chapman)Wright of Tavares, FL died on October 20, 2021. She was 96 years old.

Evelyn was the widow of Donald W. Wright Sr. and the daughter of Fred and Marguerite Chapman of Bridgeport. She is preceeded in death by her sisters: Louise DelVento(Steve), Elizabeth Coover(Roy), Virginia Clark(Leigh), Doris Costas(Dean), her brother-in-law Gerald Wright and sister-in-law Evelyn Chapman. She is survived by her children Donald Wright JR. of FL, James(Sandra) Wright of Easton CT, Thomas(Georgiana) Wright of FL, her daughter Judith (Thomas) Dias of FL, her brother Fred Chapman of Trumbull CT, sister Jacqueline Blanchard of VT, and sister-in-law Joan (Lou) Monte of MA. Evelyn also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Evelyn spent the 50's and 60's at the YankeeDrover Inn in Newtown where she was a waitress. She later retired from GE Corporate, where she worked in corporate dining. Evelyn will truly be missed by all those that loved her. Quite frankly, to know her was to love her. She had a glowing personality and was an eternal optimist. She was the definition of grace and selflessness. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on November 13, 2021 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Eustis FL. Interment will be in the Spring at Union Cemetery in Easton, CT.
