Fern Smith Stringham, 95, of New Smyrna Beach died Thursday, August 18, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.  Fern was born May 28, 1916 in North Bangor, NY to the late Ruth and Frank Smith.  She and her husband, Ernest moved to Hollywood, FL where she worked for the historic Paddlewheel Queen in Fort Lauderdale for many years.  They moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1989.  Fern was Methodist by faith.  Her husband preceded her in death in 2002.  Fern is survived by her brother, Richard Smith of Harvard, IL and three niece and nephews.  Private Family services will be held Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, FL
