Florence J. Dearth gained angel wings on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, surrounded by family and loved ones at her home in Orlando, FL. She was 91 years old.
Born on January 17, 1933 in Cleveland, OH, Florence lived a full and vibrant life. She was the loving wife of Homer E. Dearth, who predeceased her by 13 years. Together, they raised a family of four children who will forever cherish her memory.
Florence worked for General Electric in Cleveland OH, and retired from CNA Insurance in Orlando, FL after over 25 years serving as an auditor. A committed homemaker, she found fulfillment in nurturing her family. Known for her warm-hearted nature, contagious laughter, and culinary talents. She excelled as an avid bunco player, skilled seamstress, and renowned cook, particularly celebrated for her delicious chicken and noodles. Her unwavering love and devotion to her children and family were central to her daily conversations, underscoring family as her most significant accomplishment in life.
Florence was a woman of great faith, who attended St. Mary of the Angels Episcopal Church for many years. She was a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will remember her for her warm smile, her gentle nature, and her unwavering love.
Florence is survived by her children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren: Thomas Dearth (Patricia) of Longwood, FL, Denise Baughman (Richard) of Orlando, FL, Richard Dearth (Donna) Warner Robins, GA, and Barbara Moore (Philip) of Eustis, FL; grandchildren, Thomas, Leslie, Dana, Kristie, Danny (deceased), Amy, Stacy, Katie, Lindsey and Ryan; great grandchildren, Trent, Emilie, Ethan, Sydney, Jordyn, Hannah, Kendall, Mason, Nico, Ricky, Myla, Mackenzie, Jayden; and a host of nieces, nephews and countless friends.
A funeral service will be held on February 24, 2024, 11:00a.m. at St. Mary of the Angels Episcopal Church, located at 6316 Matchett Road in Orlando, FL 32809. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Mary of the Angels Episcopal Church.
Rest in peace, dear Florence J. Dearth. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
