Florence (Ryan) Manning, 94, of Ocala, FL and formally of Rye, NY passed away peacefully at her home on April 6, 2022 surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late Leighton Manning for 55 years. Flo was born in 1927 in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Bay Bulls, NL, Canada. She attended Littledale college for secretarial studies before moving to NY where she eventually worked as an Administrative Assistant for over 40 years with Exxon Mobil Corporation. During her years living in Rye, she was a member of the Rye Country Club and volunteered, dedicating many years to the Rye Association for the Handicapped. She enjoyed trips to Maine each summer with her husband and traveling the world with her family. Flo continued to embrace a large circle of friends living in Ocala, who all appreciated her kindness, humor and Irish wit. Most of all, she was steadfast in her faith and a longtime member of Queen of Peace Church. Beloved sister of Elizabeth, a most cherished aunt to 13 nieces and nephews, and a much loved extended family, neighbors and friends. She was a true animal lover and a beacon of light and love to those she guided. She will be so greatly missed.
