Florene Johnson Cuthill, 80, of Winter Park, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2024. She was born December 3, 1944 in Union, South Carolina to parents Horace Paul Johnson and Florene Johnson who preceded her in death along with her brothers Paul Johnson and Kenneth Johnson. Florene graduated from Boone High School in 1963 and went on to obtain her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. She taught at Cherokee Junior High as well as Robinswood Junior High School. Florene was passionate about teaching the word of God and served as a Sunday School and home Bible studies teacher for nearly 50 years in both Winter Park, Florida and Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Her daytime bibles study girls were affectionately nicknamed "Bible Beauties". Florene was a beloved member of Winter Park Presbyterian Church and Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blowing Rock, NC for many years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to teaching, Florene also enjoyed traveling extensively and had the joy of traveling to over 40 countries in her lifetime alongside her husband. She also enjoyed cruises, golf, and playing bridge. Florene leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband Robert W. "Bill" Cuthill Jr; children Robert W. Cuthill III and spouse April Bottie Cuthill, Sarah Cuthill Weaver and spouse Jason Weaver; brothers Randolph Johnson and David Johnson; grandchildren Jonah Towers, Malia Cuthill, and Madalyn Weaver along with numerous other relatives and friends.
