Floyd E. Hovis Sr., 80, of Fort Myers, went to be with his Lord in heaven on September 7, 2019, at Health Park Hope Hospice House in Fort Myers, FL. Born May 19, 1939 in Leavittsburg, OH., he was the son of Floyd D. Hovis and Lillian Simbold. Floyd worked at Copperweld Steel for 35 years and Kelly Greens Golf Course for 10 years. He liked to fish, hunt, and hang out with his sons and friends. Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years Darlene Hovis (nee Thigpen), four children, Paul (Deneen) Hovis of Cortland, OH., Ed (Connie) Hovis Jr. of Warren, OH., Michael (Stephanie) Hovis of Cortland, OH., Debra Reny of Fort Myers, FL., eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Paul Jr., Samantha, Travis, Ryan, Sadie, and Josh Hovis, seven great grandchildren, Caden, Connor, Jaxon, Bryson, Miracle, Renn, and Eliana Hovis. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday September 21, 2019 at 4:00 pm., at 2664 Niles Cortland Road, Cortland, OH., 44410.
