Frances Marilyn
Beach
Sep 22, 1938 — Jun 27, 2026
Frances Marilyn Beach, 87, of Fort Myers, Florida, and formerly of the Baltimore, Maryland area, passed away at the Gulf Coast Medical Center on June 27, 2026, after a brief illness.
Marilyn was born on September 22, 1938 in Washington D.C. one of six children of Felix E. Carson and Sarah Mason Carson. Marilyn attended and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Marilyn is survived by her loving daughters, Suzanne Lee Lund and Jill Lynne Wirth (Stephen), both of Fort Myers, and her granddaughter, Blake Lund of Sumter, South Carolina; a brother James C. Carson (Frances), a sister Joyce Ann Kereszturi, a sister-in-law, Sandra Barry (Richard), and step-children Charles E. Beach III, and Kendall Beach (Robert), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn is predeceased by her husband Charles E. Beach, Jr., her son Lawrence S. Balderson, a sister, Phyllis Lucille Woodard, and two brothers, Ray M. Carson and Buel E. Carson.
Marilyn was a vibrant, energetic and caring person who always had a positive outlook and who loved life - especially spending time with her friends and family and helping others in need. She was proud of her volunteer work at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Maryland and of her years of service as a member of the board of directors.
Marilyn enjoyed traveling, golf, tennis, and playing bridge with her many friends in the Verandah community and playing "Sequence" with her daughters and son-in-law on weekends. She especially enjoyed traveling with her daughters and her granddaughter on numerous "girls' trip" cruises, one recently to Aruba.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in memory of Marilyn be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
