After a long battle, Ilene passed peacefully at Hospice House in Cape Coral surrounded by loved ones on August 26th, 2022 at 3:12 a.m.

Born to Jack and Frances Rollins in Springfield Ohio. She was one of eight children. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband, James H Fay Jr. of St James City, Florida. Her children Angee (Jesse) Romero and John Fay, both of St. James City Fl., and Nikki (Larry) Donley of Lima Ohio. Her 11 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. two brothers, two sisters, and four sister-in-laws.

Ilene moved to Florida 12 years ago and became an asset to the community immediately. She loved her job at KOA and was sad to leave.

She was always quick to volunteer and help. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 136 and served as Unit Secretary for two years. She was also a life member of Moose Lodge #1954.

Her favorite past time was spending time with her family whether it be at the beach, on a boat, or simply at home by the pool. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and especially her great grandchildren. She was so proud and always shared photos with anyone who would look.

We will miss her tremendously.

There will be a Celebration of Life on September 25th at the American Legion Post 136 SJC at 11:00 a.m. We will be taking her home to Ohio in October to hold a service there for family and friends.

The family would like to say "thank you" for your outpouring condolences and a very big "thank you" to the staff at Hospice House for the care you gave to her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her family.
