MERCURIO

Frances C. Mercurio, 89, of Edgewater, a long time Framingham, Massachusetts resident, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Halifax Hospice Care Center after a long period of declining health due to a stroke.  Born in Richland Parrish, Louisiana, to the late Earl and Eula Roberts, she grew up in Kannapolis, North Carolina.  before joining the Air Force, rising to the rank of Sargent and marrying the late Samuel J. Mercurio before mustering out to raise their family in Framingham.  She served a a Cub Scout Den Mother and worked for years at the Wonder Supermarket, later joining the family business, City Hall Music in Marlborough, Mass.  She is survived by her sons, Samuel Jr., of Framingham; Michael and his wife Nancy of Poquosson, Virginia; and James and his wife Rhonda of Edgewater;  and daughter-in-law,  Rochelle of Framingham, as well as several grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Paul and Robert. A private family burial was held.
