Francis J. DiVesta, 100, of Fort Myers, passed away April 5, 2020, at Lee Memorial – Health Park Hospital, in Fort Myers, FL . Born March 8, 1920, in Newtown, CT., he was the son of Pasquale DiVesta and Maria Lepore. Francis was a former Director, Office of Advanced Graduate Studies, College of Education at Florida International University, Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Education at Pennsylvania State University, and Professor at Syracuse University. He authored five books on Educational Psychology during that time as well as numerous research papers. He is survived by his daughter Carol D. Laird, son Laurence A. DiVesta, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Fort Myers, assisted with arrangements.
