Francis Mirecki, 98 of Port Orange, Florida/Surf City, New Jersey died September 13, 2023. Frank was born April 1, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Doris of 65 years and 3 brothers Henry, Joseph, and Edward. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Susan (Bruce), Karen (Phil), and Frank (Mary). Frank loved his family and was blessed with nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was a wonderful "Pop Pop" and had a special relationship with all of them.
Frank served in the Navy during WWII. He was proud of his service and received the French Liberation Medal honoring his participation in D-Day. Frank was also a charter member of the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. Frank worked many years for the Reading Railroad at Port Richmond. When he retired he applied his skills and work ethic with the Council Rock School District.
Frank and Doris raised their family in Feasterville, Pennsylvania. Upon retirement, they moved to Surf City, New Jersey and most recently, Frank has lived in Port Orange, Florida.
Frank will always be remembered for his helpful nature and his sense of humor. He was very handy and enjoyed caring for his home and gardens. A celebration of life service is being planned for the spring.
