Francis Taylor
Johnson
August 19, 1954 – May 1, 2026
Francis Taylor Johnson passed peacefully at his home in Eustis, Florida, on May 1st, 2026, in the company of dear, close friends and thoughts of many caring friends and family around the world. Taylor was born on August 19th, 1954 in Minneapolis and graduated from Weston High School, in Massachusetts, in 1972. Taylor married Priscilla Anne Neeley on September 22nd, 1985. They lived in Plaistow, New Hampshire, before moving to Eustis, Florida in 2004. Surviving family includes his father, Clark Eugene Johnson and spouse, Nona Hill, aunt Beverly, and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
Taylor had always tried to make the world a better place. Taylor was surrounded by a wide circle of generous and devoted lifelong friends, who loved and respected him. He believed in Karma and acted in consequence: what goes around comes around. Taylor was an adept traveller, assiduously trying to learn the lessons from the challenges that life dealt him. Adept in troubleshooting, he was a meticulous planner who explored all the options, to overcome obstacles and resolve problems. His respect for others drew together robust, trustworthy teams that worked through complex challenges. Taylor worked in Hi-Tech as production and process manager in companies including Tautron and Cisco. He was Vice-President of AAPRCO, organizing private varnish trains throughout North America. He was a visionary trailblazer, setting up RubeLab and a pioneer Wattsnext solar power charging station in Eustis, back when electric vehicles were just starting. He also cherished Mother Earth, cultivating a respect for nature in his Eden on Desert Pond in Maine, where he and Priscilla brought together friends and family.
Taylor remained a steadfast, dedicated and selfless caretaker for Priscilla and for her parents, Phyllis and Shirley Neeley, ensuring that they had the best quality of life until the very end of their time on Earth. The passing of Priscilla, Taylor’s soulmate, on March 15th, 2025, left a painful void in Taylor’s heart which could not be filled. Taylor faced his diagnosis of glioblastoma in March 2026 with courage and dignity, and was reassured with the perspective of being reunited with her.
