Frank E. Josenhans, III, left us to be a warrior for God on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the age of 58 after losing his battle with brain cancer. We were blessed and privileged to share the same path he walked in his journey from this earth to everlasting peace. Frank was born at the Southernmost Point in Key West, FL on December 3, 1952.
He was the adored husband of Kathy-Lynn Carroll-Josenhans; beloved son of Frank E. and Thelma K. Josenhans, brother to Guy A. Josenhans, loving father to Mary Lynn Lyon, Christina A. Millar and Steven W. Priff, II; loving grandfather to Frank C. Meleca and Jasmine M. Vaglica. He leaves several nieces, nephews and friends he considered family including Eddie, Kurt, Bill and Paul.
Frank was a Vietnam Era Navy Diver for six years. He was a Law Enforcement Officer for Daytona Beach Police Department before retiring from the Volusia County Sheriff's office in 2000 as a Deputy Sheriff. Frank was employed by Volusia Motorcycle Training as a Rider Coach before his illness. He had the love of adventure in his heart and lived for the next motorcycle trip. Frank will be remembered for his kind heart, love of life and his awe-inspiring spirit.
