FRANK "BUCK" H. KRATOVIL JR., 88, previously of Griffith and Knox, IN, peacefully passed away on July 8, 2023 in North Fort Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia L. (Jostes) Kratovil, and his sister, Carolyn J. Kratovil. He is survived by his three children Greg (Danna) Kratovil, Sandra (Mark) Craven, and Sharon Hauser. He is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Frank was born December 16, 1934 in Pittsburg, PA to the late Frank H. and Katherine L. Kratovil. He was a 1952 graduate of Dyer (IN) High School then served as a mechanic in the US Army. Frank was a retiree of Inland Steel, East Chicago, IN. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed listening to classic country music. His favorite sports teams were the Cubs, Bears and Notre Dame football. He enjoyed playing card games with his family and friends and vacationing with them, especially at Bass Lake inKnox, IN where he and Patricia later chose to live their retirement years. Since early 2022,  Frank resided with, and was cared for by his daughter, Sharon, in conjunction with Hope Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society of Fort Myers, FL. Services to be held privately by the family.
