Frank Anthony Merola, 63, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on August 3, 2019 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. He was born in Queens, NY to the late Charles and Julia (Iorio) Merola. Frank worked for the City of New York Department of Sanitation, retiring after 20 years. He moved to Florida in 2012, coming from Monticello, NY. Frank enjoyed gambling, especially Blackjack, watching sports, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Merola of Cape Coral, FL; his daughter, Tara Merola of Cape Coral, FL; his son, Gregory Merola of Ferndale, NY; his brother, Joe Merola of Cape Coral, FL; his brother, Michael Merola of Long Island, NY; his sister in law, Lisa McLean Merola of Cape Coral, FL; his son in law, Ruben Cardona of Cape Coral, FL; his daughter in law, Sarah Merola of Ferndale, NY; his grandchildren, Anthony, Destany, Brandon, Nathan, Jayden, Caleb, and Lincoln Frank Merola; and his many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Michael Merola. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with Funeral Services starting at 7:00 pm at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 4320 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL.
