Frankie Waldrop Henderson, 87, passed peacefully due to natural causes in her home on February 1, 2026. She was the daughter of Frank and Myrtle Waldrop and was born in Lineville, AL on March 23, 1938.

Ms. Frankie, as she was often referred to, was an inspiration to many. She leaves behind a legacy of love, patience, kindness, and compassion which will live on in the lives of all she touched; her students, family, and so many others. She exemplified 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. She loved the Lord and was a true believer in the Almighty and a humble servant for His Glory.

Frankie was raised in Lineville where she lived until eventually settling in Winter Park, FL. Frankie was beautiful inside and out and could light up any room she walked into. She had many interests including writing with her beautiful penmanship, dancing, and being an avid reader. Frankie was a life-long learner. She returned to school at the age of 50, fulfilling her dream of becoming a teacher after graduating with honors from FSU with a degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she returned to Lineville to be a 5th grade teacher at the same middle school she attended as a child. Ms. Frankie was beloved and admired for her love and compassion as a teacher and has impacted the lives of many for years to come. She will be remembered and regarded as a selfless servant, as she gave countless hours to help others whether tutoring students or helping persons in recovery from alcohol and addiction. Upon retiring, she moved back to Central Florida and spent her final 20 years near to her children and grandchildren.

Frankie was preceded in death by eight siblings and is survived by her two children; Rick Henderson and Joy Henderson, her daughter-in-law; Ann Henderson, six grandchildren; Ashley Henderson Nash (Chris), Sydney Henderson, Courtney Henderson Silvestro (Derek), Lindsey Henderson, John Henderson and Luke Henderson, her great grandson; Christopher Nash III, and her companion dog Lily who was by her side until she passed into the Heavenly realm.
