Obituary

FRANK GHEEN, Daytona Beach, Florida Passed away Friday, January 29, 2021. Frank was born in Fairfax County, Virginia, on February 11, 1934; the son of George Gheen and Maude Hartley (Gheen/Seale). Vienna, VA was his childhood home. He served his country for four years in the Navy during the Korean War, achieving the rank of Radarman 3 and receiving two service medals. He lived in Maryland many years and then retired to his beloved Florida. He worked for the Potomac Electric Power Co. for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his sisters Margaret Merryman and Betty Gheen, as well as his step-mother, Nancy Gheen. Surviving are his brother, Alvin Gheen; his sister, Dorothy Payne; son Michael Gheen (Pamela); daughter Kimberly Gheen (David Kinsey); daughter, Tracey Royal (Duane); granddaughter, Jennifer Furtak (Derek); grandson, Christopher Gheen (Tamiko); grandson, Steven Royal; great granddaughter, Taylor Furtak; great-grandsons, Gavin and Gunner Gheen; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service with a virtual attendance option will be held at 2:00 P.M. on May 10, 2021 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Port Orange, FL.  Masks are required at the funeral service.

A graveside military service will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on May 11, 2021 at 3:00 P.M.
