IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Fred Michael
Adkins
April 24, 1955 – March 3, 2025
Fred Michael Adkins, of Troy, MI, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Cape Coral, FL, where he resided since 2007.
Fred was born in Beckley, WV, to Charles and Frances (Rogers) Adkins, on April 24, 1955. He went to school in Troy, MI. He graduated from Troy High School and was a friend to all of his classmates.
He married the love of his life, Elva on February 14, 1976, in Troy, MI. They loved to dance in the rain together, watch soap operas, and were true partners in life.
He worked as a bowling alley mechanic for most of his life, where he created lasting memories for all that knew him. Fred was the kind of guy who could make anyone laugh, dancing everywhere he went, and was always up for an adventure or a game of cards. Some of his favorite activities were bowling, playing pinball, and golf. He loved being a grandfather and his grandchildren adored their Papa. From the time they were born he was there for every moment and was truly the best Papa to them.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frances.
Fred is survived by his loving wife, Elva (Pounders) Adkins; his son, Adam and wife Allison; his son, Torey; his brothers, Charlie and Norman; his grandchildren, Avery, Auburn and Adeline.
The family of Fred wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Shivtaj Mann, the nurses at Gulf Coast Hospital, and the Hospice House of Cape Coral.
Fred's wishes were to be cremated and his ashes be spread in the places he loved. He would be happy for anyone to have a drink in his honor.
