Obituary

Freddie Lane Bailey 81, native of Gadsden,  AL, went home to be with the Lord, March 30th, 2020. He was predeceased by his son Michael, parents Fred and Edrey Bailey, sisters Mary Carol and Margaret, brother Ledon. Survived by wife Sandra Ellington Bailey, children Claudia, David (Rhonda),James (Heather), Deborah (Alan), John(Susan), Steve(Beth)  and Fred( Karen); his brother Kenneth(Margaret), 11 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was a Christian and member of the Church Of God. After 20 years service in the army including 3 tours in the Vietnam war, and 40 years as owner of Fred's Automotive shop in Augusta,Ga, he retired in Port Orange, FL. He loved building and driving race cars, fishing, hunting and traveling. Freddie was a loving husband ,dad and grandad(Papa) He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Memorial service to be at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Please take note due to COVID there will be a limit of 50 attendees. Burial following at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida with a limit of 25 attendees.
