Frederic R. Mayer, 72, of The Villages, passed away September 18, 2019 at home.  Born in New York City, he came to this area 8 years ago from Pembroke Pines, FL.  He was a US Air Force veteran and retired jewelry salesman.  Frederic was an avid NY Yankees fan and enjoyed trivia and poker.  He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marylou; sons, Steven Mayer (Julie) of Coral Springs, FL and Cory Mayer (Stefanie) of Delray Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jake, Emily and Joelle Mayer; sister, Amy Shukat (Chaz) of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Donna Alvarez (Jose) of The Villages; brother-in-law, David Snodgrass (Kathy) of Coral Springs, FL; niece, Sophie Snodgrass.  Mr. Mayer will be interred at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.  Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations 3990 E.
