Frederick J. Oehling, of The Villages, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on October 4, 1950, to Walter and Alice Oehling in Somerset, Pennsylvania. He attended Shippensburg University, where he studied accounting and played basketball. In 1974, he married Corda Strong. They were married for 50 years.

Fred loved the Lord and was an active member at New Covenant United Methodist Church . Fred worked in healthcare consulting. He was an avid golfer and loved playing a round with his friends around The Villages. Fred was someone who was always there to assist anyone who needed it. He loved working in the yard and spending most of that time talking to neighbors as they stopped on their golf carts. Fred enjoyed eight years of ushering at the Savannah Center . He loved the ushers he worked with and greeting patrons at the door with a smile. He also enjoyed volunteering as Treasurer for both The VHA Community Foundation and Our Moment Cafe .

Fred is survived by his wife, Corda; his children Karen (James) Myrick and Rob Oehling; his grandsons Nathaniel and Nicholas Myrick; his brother, Richard (Beverly) Oehling; and his sister-in-law, Marge Oehling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alice Oehling; and brother Jim Oehling.

His family held a private celebration of life in memory of Fred.
