Gabrielle S. Hayes, a loving mother, devoted grandmother and great grandmother, peacefully passed away December 26, 2023 at the age of 101 at The Palms of Fort Myers. She was born July 10, 1922 in Chicago IL.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sharon McKee (Robert), Suzan Humeniuk (Robert), and Tia Hayes, two granddaughters Summer Jarvis and Megan Kovtunenko (Olexiy). She has three great grandchildren, Zachary, Kora and Lena.

Having pursued her higher education at VCU in Richmond VA, Gabrielle embarked on a fulfilling career in education. She imparted her knowledge to her first grade students in Caroline County VA. Later, she focused her efforts on teaching students with Learning Disabilities in Hopewell VA.

Gabrielle enjoyed quilting, reading, learning to use a computer and spending time with her great grandchildren.
