It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Garrett Bowden Zeller, age 25, on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 in Edgewater, Florida.

Garrett was born April 27, 1997, in Orlando, Florida, and was a lifelong resident of New Smyrna Beach. He attended New Smyrna Beach High School and was an accomplished chef with tenures at several prominent local restaurants. He loved the outdoors and was an avid surfer and skateboarder. Garrett had a tremendous love of animals, and the family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society in Garrett's name.

Garrett is survived by his parents, Michael Zeller and Loretta Martin, his sister Layne Zeller, and his grandparents, Oscar and Barbara Zeller. Garrett is also a nephew and relative to many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a beloved friend of Valerie Sanchez. Garrett is preceded in death by his grandmothers Marie Zeller and Elizabeth Hall.

A celebration of life service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at First NSB, 200 Faulkner St, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by a service at 3:00 P.M. with Mark Spivey officiating. There will be a reception following the service 4:00- 7:00pm at the Angler's Club, 2 North Causeway in New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
