Gary D. Schroeder, 78, passed away January 17, 2022 in Orlando, Florida.  He was born March 18, 1943, in Elgin Illinois, the son of Clarence and Eleanor (Winkelhake) Schroeder.

Gary graduated from Boone High School in Orlando, Florida in 1961.  After High School, he attended Orlando Jr. College.  He served in the Army Reserves and worked in construction for several years.  In 1966, Gary started his 41-year career with AAL (Thrivent) as a District Representative.  He loved serving families and helping others. He married Peggy (Shaeffer) on November 20, 1970 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Orlando, Florida.  They celebrated 51 years of marriage in November.  Gary enjoyed spending time with his family in their mountain home in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, Gary was predeceased by brother, Terry "Skip" Schroeder. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, his daughters, Lynn Cera (Tim), Karen Wilson (Chad), and Cheryl Parsch (Steve), as well as 7 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2:00pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Oviedo, Florida.
