Gazell (GiGi) Crooker (72), originally from Poland, Maine, passed away on January 8, 2025, with her daughter and son-in-law at her side.

Gazell was born on April 15, 1952, in Lewiston, Maine, to Clarence and Lucille Peach. Gazell was full of fun stories about growing up with her brothers, sisters, and cousins. She had the special talent of playing the accordion. GiGi worked over 30 years in shoe shops, where she made work boots and specialty boots for firefighters. She retired to Florida, where she enjoyed endless days of floating and reading in the pool.

Gazell is predeceased by her parents, her brothers and sisters, and her daughter Amy. She is survived by her daughter Angie, her son-in-law Nathan, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to your local no-kill animal rescue group.
