GENA CHRISTINE BETTIS, 52, passed away 5 April 2025 at Tidewell Hospice House, Port Charlotte, Fl. after a lengthy illness. Final arrangements are being made by Baldwin Brothers Pt. Charlotte. A Celebration of Life is planned for at a later date.

Gena was born 3 August 1972 in Minneapolis, Mn. to Claudia and Gary Anderson. After a brief stay in Minnesota, she moved with her family to Crystal Lake, Il. and Granger, In.  After graduating from Southwest Michigan College, she obtained her Registered Nursing License and held numerous positions in hospitals in Indiana and Florida where she has resided since 1999. After retiring from healthcare, she worked for Google Inc. as a Review Board Specialist for several years before she retired in December of 2024.

She is survived by her loving parents Gary and Claudia Anderson, North Port, Fl. three children Cody, Katie and Gianna, one granddaughter, Braylynn, and her dear friend James " Jim " Spicer, Monticello, Fl.

She resided with her parents this past year where she was able to briefly travel and spend quality time with her family. She will be enormously missed, but her legacy and spirit lives on.
