Genevieve, also known as "Jenny" to many, was born in New York, New York and raised in the Bronx. As an adult, she spent her career working in insurance and was the proud business owner of Kid's Plaza, a children's clothing store. She also worked in retail as a greeting card specialist and as a beloved babysitter. She was an excellent cook, a seamstress and loved to shop and keep up with fashion trends. Above all, she found great joy in caring for infants and children.

Jenny was the daughter of the late Angelina Rivera. She was a devoted wife to Carlos "Charlie" Orellano and loving mother of Michael Velazquez, cherished grandmother of Anthony and Alyssa Velazquez and great grandmother of Danielle, Gabriella, Emma, Olivia and Avery Velazquez. She was the eldest sister to Bertha Cuascut West, Arline West, and Susan Guzman. Jenny was an adored godmother, aunt, friend, and neighbor to many.

Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 12 Noon to 2 PM at Baldwin Brothers, 1350 E Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, Florida 32778, where services will be held at 2 PM, Chaplain Letson McCoy, officiating.
