George Denick, 86, of The Villages, FL died peacefully at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital with his wife Patti, daughter Sharon,  son Steve and his wife Kristin by his side. George was born November 12, 1938 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was raised by his loving parents Milo and Beatrice Denick in Lockport, Illinois.  After graduating from Lockport High School George went on to study at Purdue University. He graduated in 1960 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

After Graduation he married his sweetheart Barbara Fant and he started his first job with Texaco. He then began a successful career with the company that lasted thirty-three years. During those years they raised four active children, moved often, and eventually settled in Stamford, Connecticut.

After retirement George and Barbara moved to warmer climates; first Pine Hurst, NC, then to even warmer weather in Mount Dora, Florida. They traveled often and George continued to improve his golf game. George and Barbara were married 53 happy years until she passed in 2013.

Life, and he had always said "the Lord",  gave George a second chance at love. He met Patti Drucis and it was a "match" from the first date.  They married in 2015 started their life together in The Villages.   They  would have celebrated their 10 ^th Anniversary on Valentine's Day. Too short a time but they were grateful for every moment they had together.

George loved life in The Villages, golfing, traveling, a great social neighborhood and wonderful friends.

He was a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather. Always a gentleman, with a big smile and a hug or handshake for everyone he met. He will be missed so very much by so many.

George was preceded in death by his parents Milo and Beatrice Denick and first wife Barbara Denick.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia Drucis Denick. His children; Sharon Bowser Denick, Steve Denick and wife Kristin, Sondra Dillon and husband Lawerence, Dr. Synthia Taylor and husband Rev. Mitchell. Grandchildren; Craig and Cassie Bower, Madison, Schuyler, and  Conner Dillon, Casper Taylor, Bryce and Luke Denick.

He was also loved by his blended family; Dana Linn Greenhalgh and husband Jim, Bill Drucis and Partner Pam, John Drucis and wife Jocelyn. Their children; Julia and Alex Linn, Emma Greenhalgh, John Drucis, Anna and Abby Drucis

A celebration of life will be held in the future.
