George Robert Finch, died of cancer on March 27, 2026, at his Venice, Florida home. He's survived by his wife Diane Lehmann, four children, 11 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

He was born on January 10, 1936 in Providence, Rhode Island to parents George and Nellie Finch. He worked for more than 20 years in Croton, Connecticut Shipyard EB (Electric Boat) building submarines.

George was a social, active man who enjoyed dancing. His family and friends will always remember him as a fun loving person.

He was a proud member of Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Englewood Moose Lodge 1933.
