George
Haddow
August 5, 1949 – May 12, 2020
Gary's journey in life ended peacefully in his home, with his wife, Colleen, and children, Brendan, Shannon and Sean, by his side.
Gary's family values and faith can be seen in his children and grandchildren. He was a friend and mentor to many– quietly listening and shared his insights. He had a funny, silly and dry sense of humor and once you got to know him, you got it.
Gary loved music, golf and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. A casual guy, he didn't like a big fuss—and was most comfortable in shorts, t-shirt and bare feet (when he had to wear shoes the laces were never tied). However, when it came to family, Gary was extravagant—spending time together whenever possible and making that time truly memorable. He was happiest when celebrating the little and big things in life with his family—cooking, enjoying cocktails and telling fun stories, sharing and creating new memories. He will be remembered for his family cookouts, fun times with the grandkids…and his lobster tails.
We are as lucky as can be that the best husband, dad and Papa belonged to us. He is missed by his partner in life of 46 years, Colleen, his three children, Brendan, Shannon and Sean, their spouses, Jennifer, Justin and Margaret along with his grandchildren, Olivia, Jillian, Bryce, Halle and Hudson. He will be missed by our extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Gary would be grateful to have donations made to Woodstock City Church – Giving Fund for all the wonderful work they do in the community they serve. http://Woodstockcity.org/give.
