Obituary

A life well lived can best be measured by the love you share with others. George Hause was just such a man who spread love throughout his life spanning almost 96 years.

As a young man he developed a love for the sea which he shared with the US Navy. During his service he found his love for photography and media which he grew into a very successful career in the motion picture industry as a sound man and sound mixer.

He worked with many of the most iconic celebrities we know and love including Paul Newman, Robert Duvall, Elizabeth Taylor, Mel Gibson, Tina Turner, and Sir Lawrence Olivier, to name just a few. They loved him and the stories are all priceless. He travelled with Presidents; He rode on Air Force One. He was awarded a coveted Emmy Award for his incredible talents. And he rounded out his illustrious career by traveling on two world tours working with the one and only Michael Jackson who nicknamed him "Scoop" as a show of his fondness.

While George was growing up his career, he met the love of his life, Joan. Together they shared over 64 years of marriage, and they grew their family to include two daughters and three grandchildren. His devotion to family and friends was inspirational and the greatest legacy.

Dad… you were an amazing storyteller, but we will be telling stories of your accomplishments for generations.

You loved the sea. You loved your clients and traveling the world. But you loved home and family most of all. And we all loved you more than you will ever know.

We loved your kindness, your generosity, your selflessness, and your amazing sense of humor. We salute the sailor, and we applaud your talents. We adored you Dad… We love you.

Now that you have joined Mom in heaven, we wish you calm seas and true contentment in a life expertly lived. You loved with your whole heart and you will be missed every time we hear your favorite opera, a Michael Jackson classic, a great movie, share a story, raise a toast, and explore new places.

Thank you for being the great man you were. "Red, Right, Return" Dad. Your safe harbor, and your home will forever be in our heart.

With love,
