George Robert Parramore, 73, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, after a brief illness. He passed the way he wanted to, peacefully at home under the care of Vitas, his loving wife of 51 years, Deborah, his grandson Shane, and his sister-in-law Lori.
George was born in Dothan, Alabama on August 15,1951 to Hollis and Dorothy Parramore. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. George was a painting and drywall specialist. He was always willing to teach anyone with an interest in learning how to paint.
He loved to saltwater fish with his family and gamble at the slots. George was the life of any party and family gathering and he loved telling jokes and doing off the wall things to make people laugh. He enjoyed being silly and he will always be remembered for that.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah, his children, Stephenie, Jennifer (Ronnie), and Dustin (Melissa), all of Cape Coral, Florida. One of his life's joys was welcoming his grandchildren, Shane, Brooke, and Briley, who he greatly enjoyed seeing any chance he could. Also surviving George are his brother Johnny (Paige) Parramore of Paisley, Florida, sister Kathy (Robert) Lynch of Clearwater, Florida, sister Rachel (Jimmy) Singletary of North Carolina, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Hollis and Jewell Parramore, his mother and step-father, Dorothy and Henry (Hank) Porter.
A Celebration of George's life will be held with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Semper Fi and America's Fund.
