With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of George T Poor III (84) on July 3, 2025 in The Villages, FL.

George was born in Lynn, MA. ​ He obtained a Masters in Economics from Syracuse University and proudly served in the US Army followed by over 25 years at IBM, both of which allowed him to travel the world. ​ He was an avid runner and cyclist and particularly enjoyed watching the Tour de France.

George is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Helen; sons Christopher (Kim) Poor, Tampa, FL and Jonathan (Mary) Poor, Cape Cod, MA; brother Peter Poor, West Lebanon, ME; sister Susan Haskell, Los Angeles, CA; and grandchildren, Hudson, Thomas and Davis. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Poor Jr and Mary Grant.
