Georgia Cheek Rader, 91, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Winter Park, FL.

She was born in Idlewild, NC and was the last surviving child of Andrew and Kiter Cheek. Georgia was a graduate of Appalachian State Teacher's College and began her teaching career in NC. After moving to Florida in 1969, she taught for Orange County public schools for 26 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Julius Lenn Rader, and is survived by their 2 daughters; Mitzi DuBois (Bill) of Milton, FL; Marsha Kernica of Oviedo, FL; and grandson Joshua Kernica of Melbourne, FL.  Per her request there will be no services.  Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, Orlando, FL.
