Gerald Joseph Kennedy, 79, of New Smyrna Beach passed away October 23, 2010.  He was born on August 18, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to John and Loretta Kennedy.  Jerry was married to his loving wife, Beverly for 58 years.  Together they raised four children.  Jeff, Gary, Jim and Sharon.  Jerry loved boating, fishing, golfing, and the beach.  He will be missed by his family and friends in both New Smyrna Beach and his hometown of Michigan.  Papa enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Kennedy.  He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; sister, Norma Larson; his four children; his six grandchildren, Gary Jr., Christina, Samantha, Hannah, Brooklynn, Jeff, and his great granddaughter, Kennedy.  A Life Celebration in his honor will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society, Heritage Chapel, 1 North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL.
