Gerald L. "Jerry" Noffsinger, 79, of Hampstead, NC passed away October 3, 2018 in Ocala, FL. Jerry was born to the late Russell and Veda Noffsinger in Flint, MI on December 21, 1938. Jerry started working for General Motors at a young age and retired from there after 35 years of service as the superintendent.  After retirement Jerry worked for Focus Hope Fighting, Racism. Poverty, and Injustice under Father Cunningham in Detroit.  Jerry was also an avid golfer enjoying memberships at Flushing Country Club in Flushing Mi and Olde Point golf Club in Hampstead, NC.  He loved gardening and was known for such a beautiful yard, people came by just to see it.  Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Sharon; daughters, Elizabeth Anthony of Ocala, FL, Michelle Sordellini of Wilmington, NC and Cathy Dellavalle and her husband Drew of San Geronimo, CA; sons, Mark Allan Noffsinger of Jenisen, MI and Daniel L. Noffsinger and his wife Lillian of Austin, TX; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Special Thanks to Granddaughter Melissa Buchkovich for her knowledge as an RN in critical care.  In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to:  Hospice of Marion County 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL 34474

Visitation will be Saturday, October 6, 2018 12 Noon with Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM both at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church 5 SE 17 ^th Street Ocala, FL 34471 with Father Patrick J. Sheedy officiating.
