Geraldine (Gerry) age 96 passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025 with her family at her side.  Gerry was born in 1928 in La Crosse, Wisconsin to parents Wesley and Lillian Gebhard.  Her father was a Methodist minister in New York State and later in Ohio.  After marrying David Christensen (deceased) she moved to Toledo, Ohio where she raised four children while teaching English at Rogers High School. Later she remarried to William Bowker (deceased) and lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for many years before retiring and moving to Venice, Florida in 1994.

Gerry will be interned in Toledo next to her parents, sister Joanna (Don) Geer, and brother Wesley (Helen) Gebhard.  Sister Pauline (Edward) Ziegler is buried in Virginia.  Gerry is survived by her children Ron and Rollie Christensen, Barbara Christensen (Sue), and Carla (Gary). She leaves grandchildren James, Scot, Greta, Susie and Lorri, five great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Village on the Isle, Venice Florida on February 4, 2025 at 11 a.m. Gerry will then be interned in Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio next May.
