Geraldine "Geri" Sue Collins, 82, of Summerfield died peacefully Friday, October 4, 2013 with her daughter by her side.  Geri was born June 11, 1931 in Gassaway, WV.  She married the love of her life, James W. Collins.  They settled in New Smyrna Beach, FL in 1971 and she opened "Geri's Hair Stylist" salon.  She was also a life member of Spin Drifters of New Smyrna Beach.  Geri enjoyed working with her customers and helping them feel beautiful.  She also took great pride in her needlework and cross stitch.  This too is a part of her legacy.  After the death of her husband in 1993 Geri moved to Leesburg.  She  is a member of the New Life Presbyterian Church  where was active in many church activities.  Geri was also preceded in death by two sons, David and James S. Collins.  She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Collins and her partner, Mary Sloan of Summerfield and sister, Jackie Perrine of Edgewater, FL.  A life celebration will be held 4PM, Sunday, October 13, 2013 at New Life Presbyterian Church, Fruitland Park.
