Obituary

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we share that Geraldine Waldron passed away peacefully sleeping early morning, June 29, 2025, at home with her family in Montverde, Florida. Born August 4, 1925, in Torrington, Connecticut to Andrew and Margaret Arnold. Siblings, Edward, brother (predeceased) and Ruth, sister.

Geraldine was a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many that hold cherished memories of this kind, beautiful, funny and generous woman. Whether she was called Geraldine, Jerri, Mother, Aunt Jerri or Nana by so many, she is deeply missed. Words cannot explain her significance to so many.

In 1944 she married the love of her life, Clarence Waldron (predeceased 2012). Built their home and had 2 children, David (son) and Kathleen (daughter) in Torrington. In Connecticut extended family helped make amazing memories that were talked about all through the years, but with life changes they left to a new adventure in the early 60's when they moved to Orlando, Florida with their 2 children and settled in the Colonial Town section of downtown. They enjoyed new friendships and opened their home to their family members on vacation to the Sunshine State. Geraldine and Clarence loved to travel, making lasting acquaintances throughout the United States and abroad.

Later in life she came to live in Montverde to be with Kathleen Patterson (daughter) Roy Patterson (son-in-law), Amy (grand-daughter), and Audrey (great granddaughter). Nana is loved as the Matriarch surrounded by her family, pets, and friends of all ages, she enjoyed their conversations and activities. Always interested in others, whether watching virtually her great-granddaughter play volleyball, helping release countless Monarch butterflies with her granddaughter, discussing world events with her daughter, and so much more!

We will always remember and treasure her gracious, loving, selfless, generous and beautiful way of living.

A private ceremony will be planned at a later date.
