Gerard "Jerry" Armand Joseph Roy was born on May 18th, 1930, in Manchester, New Hampshire.  He married Rose "Cookie" Alice Landry on April 24th, 1954.  They had four daughters, Claire (Jerome) Russ, Marie Roy, Jeanine (Robert) Connor, and Michelle (William) Rodriguez.  He had eight grand children, Ryan, Lauren, Stephanie, Devin, Quinlan, Jarrod, Denise, William, and two great-grand-daughters, Hailey and Sidney.  He was a 26 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean War, but also in France, Germany and many stateside assignments to include the Pentagon.  He continued to work until he was 78 years old as an architectural draftsman. He loved nothing more than playing his accordion, with his family surrounding him. Jerry's funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2012, 11:00 am, at St. Gerard's Mission Church, 3171 South Ridgewood Avenue, Edgewater, FL 32132. Military Honors will be rendered at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218, on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
