Obituary

Gerard "Gerry" Gremillion, 79, of The Villages, FL, passed away on September 12, 2014. Born on March 8, 1935 in Moreauville, LA to Gustave and Claudia Gremillion. Gerry was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a Quality Circles Facilitator for Uniroyal Chemical Company in Geismar, LA. After retirement, Mr. Gremillion moved to The Villages from Baton Rouge, LA in 2002. Gerry was an RCIA sponsor in Louisiana. He was a past Eucharistic Minister in Louisiana and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Gerry was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. His hobbies include playing golf, birding, cooking, and gardening. He was an avid LSU Tiger fan. He was a devoted husband and loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eva N. "Nita" Gremillion, daughter, Stephanie (Jeff) Gremillion Sprague, Baton Rouge, LA, son, Gerard "Jay" Gremillion, Ocklawaha, FL, sister, Margaret Ducote, Killeen, TX, Elaine Hendricks, Victoria, TX, Sr. Elizabeth Marie Gremillion, MSC, Opelousas, LA, brother, Michael Gremillion, Houston, TX, granddaughter, Maggie Sprague, Baton Rouge, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Gremillion, sister, Beryl Anne Gremillion, and daughter-in-law, Darline Carr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7081 SE Hwy 42, Summerfield,FL. Inurnment will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations to either the Michael J.
