Gilbert Marrero, aged 74, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, in Lecanto, Florida. He was born on October 7, 1950, in Bronx, New York to Jenara Morales Nazario and Gilberto Marrero Ruiz.

He is survived by his sisters Elizabeth and Doris, his children Selina and Sharisse, and his grandchildren Amber and Emilio. He will be remembered for his devotion to animals, rescuing any and all that needed care. His other passion was music. He was never without pop music playing throughout the house, in his car, or on his phone. He enjoyed fishing and driving his beloved 1998 Ford Mustang. We will miss his sense of humor and his distinctive style of dress (jeans and his well-worn denim vest).

He will be remembered and dearly missed by his family and friends. Rest easy.
